WEB CAM IS OFFLINE TODAY

With the problems we have had with our Web Camera we will download some pictures for right now until we can get the Camera back up and running.

We are in the process of cladding the exterior and Roughing in the interior mechanicals.

EXTERIOR CLADDING  using A cement board siding provided by Certainteed whose products meets the recycled content and the production side of the material resources along with sustainability. We are also using a cedar shake shingle and MDF trim boards for the trim out of the corners and windows and other fenestrated areas of the home. I proper preparation for this install of these products we provided treated lattice strips to apply on the Zip board to create an air space between these products. This will not only act as mildew prevention method but will increase the life of the cladding and the exterior wall sheathing.  All the decking material is the Trex product which is all recycled material. Any left over materials to small to reuse we will be shredding in separate piles.

PLUMBING We have used a Mani block system for the water lines which is a pex product which in turn should help place water  to all areas of the home efficiently and help to lower the level of water used. We have installed the water lines for the install of the Rainwater harvesting system will be installing which will provides water to the irrigation and the water closets and exterior utility water (hose Bibb). These usually consume more than 50% of a typical homes water supply which will in turn save on your total water bill consumption for the home. We are distributers for Rainwater harvesting System in the upstate area.

HVAC   We have installed a dual fuel Lennox 15 seer system for this home. Because this home will have a ventless attic and will be as airtight as possible we will have add outside in to the homes system. When installing the Duct system we take great care in using mastic on all the HVAC lines themselves to create an air tight seal so there are the least amount of leaks as possible. We also try to avoid hard turns in the duct system so as allow good flow with in the system, and anywhere there are turns that are 45 degrees  or more we have used hard pipe for those area. This system will be tested for air leakage and we hope to meet a 2% air loss which is 4% better than the requirement.

Job Site Waste We are happy to report that our waste so far is proving to be as efficient as can be. We have not taken any construction waste as of yet to the landfill. We have recycled all the cardboard and have chipped up what little framing material was left over. At this point the only product we do not have a place to recycle is some misc treated material and some plastic materials.

ROOFING   We have used another Certainteed product for the Shingle, This shingle was the closest to the most reflective asphalt architectural shingle we could find that would meet the Architectural Review Boards Color Pallet. It is a 40 year shingle and again is produced by a company that believes in the mission of Recycling and reuse.
